CF1: Winchester M1 Carbine S#5667766 – $4,999.99

This original as issue, March of 1944 transitional period M1 Carbine is in fantastic overall condition. The wood set has minimal handling marks and has a W stamped in the sling well and on the underside of the 2 river handguard while sporting a crisp W.R.A G.H.D cartouche. The S marked flip sight has a blued leaf spring and undisturbed staking while the unmarked type 2 barrel band shows no signs of being removed at any time. The trigger housing, hammer, sear and mag release are all marked W and the push button safety is marked “EW”. The slide and flat, blued bolt are also marked W and gauge like new with proper firing pin protrusion. The original barrel headspaces beautifully and has a muzzle erosion of 1.25 and throat erosion of 1.5.

CF2: IBM M1 Carbine S#3912637 – $4,299.99

This original as issue, March of 1944 transitional period M1 Carbine is in very good condition with some patina on the barrel and slash marked, type 2 barrel band. The Lumb Woodworking, Co of Poughkeepsie, NY stock set is in fantastic overall condition with minimal handling marks. Both the slide and bolt are marked AOB and gauge beautifully with minimal lug and firing pin wear. The BE-B housing, WMB hammer, PR-B mag catch and EPB safety are all serial number correct for a 3.9 serial number but the SG-B marked sear is of slightly earlier production tailing off a month or 2 earlier but very common to see in this serial number range. The undated barrel is marked I.B.M CORP. and while there is some external patina it gauges very well with a muzzle and throat erosion reading of 1.5 with a very strong headspace.
